As a biological instrument design engineer I have been writing technical manuals and publishing articles in technical journals for over 40 years. During this period and even now in semi retirement I am still dealing with print on demand companies.

Over the past three and a half years of my semi retirement I decided to write a fiction novel, my techno-thriller novel "Revenge" is the result.

Having spent the time writing the novel and now wishing to see it in print I decided to test my family, friends and readers with printed copies of my work before publishing it. Naturally I want the book to look good and after careful consideration of the POD print market I chose "Direct - POD" to print my novel for the following reasons.

In my case, my "MS Word document" manuscript had been formatted to a "lulu.com" template, which needed extensive correction prior to printing.  Dale and his team helped me sort the problems out even though they could have left me to deal with them myself.

What is even more remarkable was how fast this was dealt with considering my small print run. Within a couple of days I had the first bound proof copy, which would have taken ten or more days with some of the POD companies that I have had previous experience with.

The finish of the book and its cover speaks volumes for the quality produced by the company. Notwithstanding the excellent quality, the cost alone is highly competitive, making "Direct - POD" a market leader on price, quality, service and support.

In this regard I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending "Direct - POD" to anyone needing a quality print on demand service.  I for one will certainly be using them again in the not too distant future.
